| Wanaka in Central Otago, is smack bang at the entrance to the Mount Aspiring National Park. Known in the early 19th Century as Pembroke after some notable bloke, it has boomed since the gold rush days and now boasts a bunch of flash houses, and arguably some of the best scenery in New Zealand. |
